Dear Presenters in the 5th ACIS Conference, Auckland, 18-21st February 2009:
The Conference venue will be The University of Auckland Faculty of Engineering, 20 Symonds Street, Auckland City.
Attached is a draft programme. Please keep an eye on this site for programme changes.
If you are interested in chairing one of the sessions, please let Gabriella Brussino know (g.brussino@auckland.ac.nz) and specify any session(s) you are particularly keen to chair.
All conference rooms are equipped for projecting from a computer, DVD player, VHS player, and either document camera or overhead projector. Please bring any files you will use (preferably only .PPT, .DOC or .PDF files) on a USB memory stick so that you can upload them to the computer in the allocated room prior to the start of your session. If you have any special equipment or software requirements, or wish to use your own laptop in your presentation, then please contact Gabriella (g.brussino@auckland.ac.nz) to discuss this as soon as possible.
If you intend to distribute paper handouts, please bring the photocopies with you.
If you have not already done so, please register as soon as possible. You can also book and pay for accommodation (several options available) and the conference dinner (an extra NZ$95 per head) through the registration form. If you wish to organize your own accommodation, the following link will provide you with information on hotels, lodges, serviced apartments and hostels in central Auckland: http://www.acis.org.au/5thbienconf/accommodation.html. Through the same link, you can also find out information on travelling to and from the airport, and around Auckland.
The dinner will be on Friday 20 February, at Totò (Montecristo Room), 53 Nelson Street, Auckland City, starting at 7.00pm.
We would also appreciate it if you could indicate at registration time whether you will be attending the Powhiri (Maori Ceremony of Welcome) and took the time to view the Powhiri protocol before the ceremony.
