ACIS Cassamarca Scholarships for Research in Italy 2010
The Australasian Centre for Italian Studies (ACIS) is offering up to four scholarships of up to $6000 each for Australasians wishing to undertake research in Italy during 2010. These awards were established by the Cassamarca Foundation (Fondazione Cassamarca), and are further supported by the Australian Foundation for Studies in Italy, and by the Associazione Sarda del Queensland Inc.
They are available to students at Australasian universities who, in 2010, will be enrolled, full-time or part-time, in honours, research masters or PhD degrees and who will be engaged in research projects in any of the following areas of Italian studies: archaeology and classical antiquities, language, literature, culture, history, politics and society, including migration studies. For one of the scholarships, preference may be given to a project in the area of Sardinian studies.
Successful applicants will have knowledge of Italian adequate for their research purposes.
Scholarships will not be awarded to attend language classes in Italy.
