2026 ACIS Conference - Call for papers/sessions


We welcome proposals from graduate students, early career researchers, academics at all stages of career, independent scholars, artists, writers, and members of the community who engage in research projects in any of the following areas of Italian Studies: archaeology and classical antiquities, language, literature, culture, history, politics and society, cinema studies, and migration studies.


Please note that two types of proposals are available:

  1. 90-minute session - with three 20-minute presentations and Q&A at the end. The proposer will submit all relevant details, i.e. presenters' names and affiliation, presentations' titles (75 characters max), abstracts (800 characters max), CVs, and names of Chairs (if known);
  2. 20-minute presentation. The Conference Committee will place individual papers in an appropriate session, or
  3. 90-minute roundtable (up to 8 contributors/speakers).
